F-Droid 2.0 fixed all my issues with finding, installing, and updating open source apps

F-Droid 2.0 arrives as a major upgrade to the open-source app catalog for Android, aiming to make finding, installing, and updating apps less frustrating than in earlier versions. The entire client has been rebuilt with a new interface featuring clearer navigation through sections like Discover, Categories and My Apps, and it follows modern Android design conventions including Material You theming. Search has also been expanded: rather than only searching app names, F-Droid 2.0 can search descriptions, categories and translated content, enabling filtered browsing based on what a user needs. The app discovery workflow improves with surfaced categories, new apps and recently updated titles, while installations and updates are handled more smoothly, similar to Google Play’s approach.
