FDA urgently recalls 700,000 rolls sold at Walmart in 19 states

The FDA urgently recalled about 735,000 rolls sold at Walmart in 19 states after concerns that glass could be present in the food. The affected products were distributed through Walmart stores where customers were sold the rolls via Walmart bakeries, even though the dough was purchased by Walmart from Pillsbury. General Mills, Pillsbury’s parent company, initiated the recall on June 19, and the FDA later classified it as a Class II recall on July 13. Included were two batches of Pillsbury Hard Roll Dough and one batch of Pillsbury Kaiser Roll Dough, identified by “Better if Used By” dates of October 12 and 13 and lot code 11JUN6JL or 12JUN6JL. The recalled dough was distributed across states including Arkansas, California, Florida, Georgia, and Texas. Separately, other Walmart-linked recalls on July 2 involved Rowenta cordless vacuums, Cuisinart grill brushes, and Junpower lithium coin batteries.
