MacOS 27 public beta 2 arrives. Everything to know.
MacOS 27 public beta 2 arrives with more updates focused on Siri AI, system search reliability, and developer-facing web tools. Apple has released the second public beta of macOS 27 “Golden Gate” after beta 1 introduced a relaunch of Siri as a true AI assistant. In the new build, Apple reports fixes and tweaks for Liquid Glass and improvements related to a glitchy system search feature noted by macOS 26 users. Apple Intelligence is also updated, including design changes, a new set of writing tools, and improved Visual Intelligence. The beta adds an AI-assisted way to create custom Safari extensions and new Shortcuts using natural language, plus added aspect ratio support in Phone Mirroring. Enrollment and installation steps are via Apple’s public beta program at beta.apple.com.
