Gavin Leatherwood Joins Nina Dobrev in Film Adaptation of BookTok Hit 'It Happened One Summer'

Gavin Leatherwood has joined the cast of the romantic comedy adaptation of BookTok hit It Happened One Summer, filming in New York. The Sex Lives of College Girls and Chilling Adventures of Sabrina actor joins previously announced leads Nina Dobrev, Tyler Hoechlin and Virginia Gardner. Directed by Peter Hutchings (The Hating Game), the film is based on Tessa Bailey’s New York Times bestseller, which has sold two million copies in the U.S. It is the first installment in Bailey’s Bellinger Sisters series, about Piper Bellinger, an L.A. influencer exiled to a rugged fishing town and forced to repair her late father’s dive bar. Leatherwood will play Fox Thornton.
