A ZDNET test purchase for a MacBook Air M5 with 32GB RAM and a 1TB SSD reportedly displayed a September 14 delivery date—despite the model being on shelves. Bloomberg’s Mark Gurman cited “shipments of new units more constrained than they can ever recall,” tied to a global memory shortage. Apple raised prices in June by about $200 on the MacBook Air M5, while other models—including MacBook Neo—also saw hikes ahead of school season.
