Hobbs and Whistles owner struck by cyber attack
The Foschini Group (TFG), owner of fashion brands Hobbs and Whistles, has apologized to customers after a cyber attack disrupted parts of its UK operations. TFG said it became aware of a “cybersecurity incident” on Sunday affecting its UK subsidiary, TFG London, where “certain of its IT systems” were impacted, specifically for Phase Eight, Hobbs and Whistles. The retailer said there is “no reason to believe that payment information is at risk.” It added that other high street brands, including Inside Story and White Stuff, were not affected, and that operations in TFG Africa and TFG Australia were also unaffected. Stores are open as normal, but some website capabilities may be unavailable. The incident follows last week’s reports involving Asos and an investigation at H&M.
