IPhone 18 Pro tipped for major gaming boost with new A20 Pro chip

Apple’s iPhone 18 Pro and iPhone 18 Pro Max are expected to debut at the company’s Sept. 9 event, and a supply-chain leak points to upgrades in the A20 Pro chip aimed at better gaming and everyday responsiveness. The claims, shared on China’s Weibo, say the A20 Pro layout was reverse-engineered using solder-point positioning. The leak suggests efficiency cores could share 8MB of L2 cache, up from 6MB on the iPhone 17 Pro’s A19 Pro, while high-performance cores would keep 16MB. It also alleges a seven-core GPU, up from six, potentially improving graphics-heavy games.
