Jacob Saifiti is balancing World Cup preparations with major personal and career decisions. The Fiji prop is set to appear for Fiji in hometown Newcastle on Sunday, after a Knights season shaped by a grand final run and a suspension that kept him out of the match, but leaves him available for international duty. Off the field, Saifiti and his wife Immogen said they are expecting their first child. He told the Newcastle Herald they were “stoked,” describing the news as “surreal.” Contract talks also loom: his NRL deal expires at the end of 2027, with rival PNG Chiefs able to begin negotiations from next month. Still, Saifiti said he wants to be a Knight for life.
