Jodie Foster claims Oscar-winning film was made using AI
Jodie Foster said an Oscar-winning film she recently watched left her convinced it was made using AI, citing Brad Pitt’s 2025 Formula 1 movie, “F1.” Speaking on an Aspen Ideas Festival panel titled “Who Owns the Future of Hollywood?”, the Silence of the Lambs actor, 63, said she was not disparaging the result, noting the film made “millions.” Foster argued that the movie’s structure resembled what she said students learn, and said the cast appeared to deliver lines “exactly” as if written by a computer. She described AI as potentially useful for “small, helpful things” such as storyboarding scripts, but warned it could “get rid of a lot of jobs.” Foster also referenced her own film “A Private Life,” which includes a dream sequence generated using AI.
