Jodie Foster is convinced F1 'was made by AI'
Jodie Foster, speaking at the Aspen Ideas Festival in Colorado on Tuesday (30.06.26), said she believes the F1 movie starring Brad Pitt was “made by AI.” The actress-turned-director discussed how artificial intelligence could reshape Hollywood, arguing that AI is already being used widely in film production and may continue to be for the next few years. She suggested the industry will need to “dominate AI” over time for outputs to reflect human creativity. When asked about AI replacing writers or actors, Foster pointed to face-swapping and other smartphone-enabled techniques. She cited F1’s structure and performances as evidence she felt were consistent with computer-written scripts. F1 was nominated for four Academy Awards, winning Best Sound, and its team previously emphasized practical effects alongside visual effects.
