Leaked photos appear to show a new Kindle is coming -- here's what we know

Leaked photos posted by Roland Quandt on WinFuture suggest Amazon is preparing a redesigned 12th-generation Kindle after two years without a new release. The images show the device in three colors—black, light blue, and purple—and indicate an overall design refresh. The most notable change appears to be a redesigned power button moved to the right side, replacing the bottom placement seen on the 11th-gen model, where the button’s design was a complaint in at least one review referenced by the author. The screen also looks more recessed and flush like the Kindle Paperwhite. The leaks also hint at a new Kindle Kids with a case and extended warranty, but key specs and pricing aren’t confirmed.
