Man charged in fatal Raynham crash faces a judge

A man charged in connection to a deadly Raynham crash appeared in court Friday. Jacob Larsen, 22, faces motor vehicle homicide by negligent operation, operating with a suspended license for an OUI, marked lanes violations, and failure to yield. The crash occurred around 11:50 p.m. at the intersection of South East Street and Hill Street, involving Larsen's white Ford Explorer and a motorcycle. The rider, 52-year-old Scott Piche of New Bedford, died from serious injuries after being found in the roadway. Larsen admitted fault in an interview with police; his license had been suspended due to a prior OUI. Bail was set at $2,500; authorities noted no intoxication signs. The case remains active as investigations continue.
