xCruzo Brief
St. Mary’s County Government will open applications for its Community Reinvestment and Repair Fund (CRRF) grant program on Monday, Nov. 2, 2026. Eligible nonprofit organizations can apply for funding for programs and projects that strengthen communities across St. Mary’s County. The CRRF was created under Maryland’s Cannabis Reform Act of 2023 and is funded through a portion of the state’s adult-use cannabis tax revenue. The county has received about $1.6 million in CRRF support. Commissioners prioritized one-time investments with measurable benefits that don’t require ongoing county funding. Applications close at 5 p.m. Monday, Dec. 21, 2026.
