Million passengers of 3 UK airports affected by cyber security breach

Manchester Airport Group (MAG) says a cyber security breach accessed personal data tied to car park, lounge, fast track bookings and in-airport Wi‑Fi sign-ups across three UK airports: Manchester, London Stansted and East Midlands. MAG estimates about 8.7 million customers were affected. Exposed details include email addresses, phone numbers, vehicle registration information and postcodes. The company stressed that bank and payment details were not compromised, and that passenger safety and aviation security were never at risk. MAG added the incident caused no operational disruption and did not affect flight schedules, airport services or security procedures.
