Open Call for National Space Innovation Programme (UK) - fundsforNGOs
The UK National Space Innovation Programme (NSIP) has launched an open call offering co-funded grants to accelerate high-impact space research and development while improving technology readiness. The program supports work that advances innovative space technologies, develops space products and services, and expands commercialization prospects across the UK space sector. NSIP is structured around two funding strands: NSIP Kick Starter for early-stage projects and NSIP Major Projects for broader efforts. The call emphasizes raising Technology Readiness Levels (TRLs) and reducing risks for high-value innovation initiatives led by businesses, universities, and research organizations. For Call 3, special attention is directed to Space Domain Awareness and In-Orbit Assembly and Manufacturing, with up to 40% of the budget allocated to these two priority areas. Kick Starter grants range from £150,000 to £1,000,000, with a maximum duration of 30 months. The notice also specifies that projects generally target TRL levels beginning at TRL 1.
