Oracle Stock Slips as Google's Mandiant Flags PeopleSoft Breach - Oracle (NYSE:ORCL)

Oracle shares fell Monday after Google’s cybersecurity arm, Mandiant, said the ShinyHunters hacking group resumed “mass exploitation” of a PeopleSoft vulnerability. The renewed campaign leverages a flaw in Oracle’s widely used enterprise software, hitting organizations that added web application firewall rules but did not apply the update Oracle released to fix the issue. Mandiant said the activity reached dozens of systems worldwide, including higher education, technology, healthcare, agriculture, transportation and government, though it did not name victims. The report also followed ShinyHunters’ claim of stealing FBI personnel data, which Reuters couldn’t corroborate. Oracle stock was down 2.2% to $134.09.
