Sloss Tech 2026 draws regional founders + tech talent to Birmingham
Sloss Tech 2026 is expanding Birmingham’s startup and technology network as it drew regional founders, developers, and ecosystem builders for its first full day on Thursday, June 25. The event turned the downtown area into a hub of programming that combined keynote sessions and breakout workshops, with activities spanning locations including the historic Lyric Theatre for the main stage opening. Organizers said the schedule emphasized both innovation and community connections, including topics such as AI data readiness and regional talent development. Evening plans include the Sloss Tech Street Party at City Walk to celebrate the local tech community. Attendees interviewed highlighted the conference’s value for learning and networking, from Birmingham-area participation to support for businesses expanding physical presence in Alabama, while speakers are scheduled to appear again on Friday, June 26.
