Troy Aikman's Next Job Appears To Leak With His Days At ESPN Numbered

Troy Aikman’s next broadcasting job could be in flux after fans began pushing for him to leave ESPN. The Hall of Fame quarterback joined ESPN in 2022, weeks before Joe Buck, who later moved into a new deal paying him more than $100 million. Aikman, meanwhile, has not received a formal offer, and he told viewers he will become a free agent after the current season. “I’ll broadcast through this season and I’ll be a free agent at the end of the year,” he said, adding he will assess where his “next landing spot” may be. Among the speculative replacements for Aikman in ESPN’s Monday Night Football booth are five names, while others propose him for CBS alongside Jim Nantz or to replace Tony Romo.
