Want to download watchOS 27? You might need to buy a new Apple Watch first

Apple says iPhone owners can now download iOS 27, alongside macOS 27, tvOS 27, visionOS 27, and watchOS 27. The smartwatch update is centered on a major Siri overhaul designed for more natural back-and-forth conversations, answers to open-ended questions, brainstorming workout ideas, and the ability to take actions across apps from your wrist. Apple Intelligence also aims to make the Watch more proactive via Smart Stack, surfacing items like a close contact’s birthday, where you parked, holiday alarms, and boarding passes. A new single-tap gesture expands a Smart Stack card with one hand. Find My is also streamlined into one app, and watchOS 27 includes Cycle Tracking upgrades.
