Arsenal: Martinelli to Al-Hilal done as value of record-breaking Gunners exit confirmed

Gabriel Martinelli’s move from Arsenal to Al-Hilal is now effectively agreed, with transfer terms understood to be worth €65 million (£55.7m), according to Fabrizio Romano. Arsenal have authorised the winger to complete the switch after determining he is surplus to requirements this summer. This season, Martinelli scored just once in the Premier League, and Arsenal have also strengthened the left flank by signing Christos Tzolis, who already has three assists for the club. While there was interest from Europe including Napoli and Galatasaray, Martinelli had made clear he didn’t want to join Galatasaray, but he’s comfortable relocating to Saudi Arabia.
