The glass float drop is coming to the Oregon Coast this weekend, showcasing dozens of hand-blown orbs along Lincoln City beaches. Finders Keepers drops 31 floats starting June 19 as part of the Chinook Winds Casino Resort’s 31st anniversary celebration, which also features a Joe Nichols concert on June 19 and a fireworks show on June 20 at 10 p.m. An 21+ afterparty follows the show. The organization, begun in 1997 with the Millennium Float Project, plans to place more than 3,000 floats across seven miles of beaches in 2026.

Special drops are scheduled for September (Fall Kite Drop, 10 floats) and October 30–November 1 (Halloween Drop, 50 floats). Floats are hidden below embankments but above the high-tide line, and registrants should begin at public access points while respecting the environment. If you find a float, it’s yours to keep with a limit of one per household per year; registration and authenticity certificates are available via 541-996-1274 or the Finders Keepers site, or in person at Lincoln City Welcome Center, 801 SW U.S. Highway 101.
