High School Football Week 4 Roundup: Brown shines in Wayne win

Wayne started Greater Western Ohio Conference play with a 41-26 home win over Springboro on Friday, Sept. 11, with Ohio State commit Jamier Brown repeatedly making the difference. Quarterback Kye Graham went 13-of-19 for 243 yards and four passing touchdowns, adding 53 rushing yards and a TD. Brown totaled six catches for 120 yards and three scores, all of them coming after Springboro had cut into the Warriors’ lead. Defensively, Marvin Williams recorded 12 tackles, while Brayden Redd returned an interception for a touchdown. Brandon Birdsong Jr. rushed for 132 yards and one score for Springboro. Wayne (first win) hosts Fairmont Sept. 18; Springboro falls to 2-2 and plays Northmont.
