Travis Erickson: High School Football Week 4 Roundup: Brown shines in Wayne win

Wayne started Greater Western Ohio Conference play with a 41-26 win over Springboro on Friday, Sept. 11, and much of the momentum came through Ohio State commit Jamier Brown. Quarterback Kye Graham finished 13-of-19 for 243 yards, throwing four touchdowns and adding 53 rushing yards plus a score. Brown caught six passes for 120 yards and three touchdowns, with all three TDs arriving after Springboro had cut into the Wayne lead. Defensively, Marvin Williams led with 12 total tackles (eight solo) and Brayden Redd returned an interception for a touchdown. Brandon Birdsong Jr. carried for 132 yards and one touchdown for ’Boro, while Cooper Murdock threw two scores. Wayne heads into next week hosting Fairmont (Sept. 18), while Springboro drops to 2-2 and plays Northmont at home.
