Johns County lane and road closures to watch Aug. 24-28

Florida’s Department of Transportation has announced multiple lane and road changes in St. Johns County scheduled for Aug. 24–28 as part of ongoing roadway projects. County Road 16A, west of Timberwolf Trail, will see weekday daytime lane closures from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m., with nighttime lane closures from 7 p.m. to 7 a.m. for roadwork. On I-95, southbound shoulder closures are planned Saturday through Thursday from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. between Redhook Bay Drive and one mile east. King Street, from North Ponce de Leon Boulevard (U.S. 1) to Malaga Street, is closed to traffic through late 2026 for bridge rehabilitation, with a detour in place.
