Actress Selma Blair arrested for violent inflight incident
Selma Blair was arrested Sunday night at New York’s John F. Kennedy International Airport after a violent in-flight incident on a Delta Airlines flight that departed from Los Angeles International Airport. The New York Port Authority said officers responded to a call about a “physically abusive passenger” aboard Delta Flight 938, which arrived from LAX and was parked at the gate around 11:00 p.m. on Oct. 11. Port Authority Police identified the suspect as Blair, 54, and said she was taken into custody and transported to the hospital for evaluation. Two flight attendants reported injuries, with one transported for further assessment. The FBI said it is investigating assaults aboard aircraft. A representative for Blair told KTLA 5 that a medical emergency preceded the alleged conduct and that she was in stable condition after landing. TMZ reported she attempted to open a plane door mid-flight, and alleged that she punched one attendant and bit another. The article also recalled a prior 2016 in-flight removal involving alcohol and medication.
