Selma Blair taken into custody after being physically abusive on Delta flight, officials say
Selma Blair was taken into custody after authorities said she was physically abusive on a Delta Air Lines flight from Los Angeles to New York City on Sunday. A spokesperson for the Port Authority of New York and New Jersey said Blair, 54, was identified as the suspect, and after the plane landed at John F. Kennedy International Airport she was taken to a hospital for evaluation. Two flight attendants reported injuries, and one was transported to a hospital. Officials did not release details of what happened onboard, but the FBI said it was investigating a “potential assault aboard a flight that arrived into JFK.” The FAA also said it would investigate a “passenger disturbance.” Blair’s representative attributed the alleged conduct to a medical emergency, stating she was in stable condition, and noted her multiple sclerosis diagnosis in 2018. Delta said it has “zero tolerance” for unlawful or unruly behavior.
