Architect Hurled Drunken Abuse at Virgin Atlantic Flight Attendant
xCruzo Brief
An architect is wanted by police after allegedly attacking cabin crew on a Virgin Atlantic flight from Dubai to Heathrow and then accusing a stewardess of racism. Ealing Magistrates’ Court heard that Simone de Gale, 44, became verbally abusive after being told not to disturb a sleeping baby during the February 5 flight. Prosecutors said she shouted “I’m an architect and you’re just a f***ing air hostess,” jabbed stewardess Sarah Jane Buckland near the collarbone, and grabbed her cardigan. Officers from Heathrow’s aviation policing team noticed slurred speech and a strong smell of alcohol. De Gale was convicted in absentia of four offences, including being drunk on an aircraft and assault.
