Avelo Airlines Celebrates Five Years at Tweed-New Haven Airport

Avelo Airlines marked five years of service at Tweed-New Haven Airport (HVN) on Nov. 4, 2026, noting that its first Connecticut flight departed Nov. 3, 2021. Founder and CEO Andrew Levy celebrated the milestone with crews, customers and community leaders, and the airline is offering a fifth-anniversary promo code, “5YEARS,” for up to 50% off base fares through March 31, 2027. Over five years, Avelo says it has flown more than 5.2 million customers through HVN, operated 40,000+ flights, and grown to 29 nonstop destinations, using seven aircraft dedicated to Connecticut service.
