Business People: Best Buy CFO to depart amid top executive changes
Best Buy is preparing for a leadership transition as CFO Matt Bilunas will step down and leave the company at the end of July. The retailer is running an external search for a successor in parallel with the incoming CEO, Jason Bonfig. During the changeover, current CEO Corie Barry, who previously served as CFO, will continue to oversee financial operations. The announcement comes alongside other corporate and civic moves mentioned in the same news brief. Minnesota’s Metropolitan Airports Commission hired Glenn Lawrence as assistant director of information technology operations, and Associated Banc-Corp added roles to its private wealth team in Minnesota. Piper Sandler also named new co-heads for services and industrials, and St. Croix Economic Development Corp. revealed winners of a Scale-Up Challenge.
