Frontier Airlines Reportedly Loses Canada Player's Luggage
Frontier Airlines faces renewed backlash after a Canadian footballer said the airline lost his luggage and flew him to the wrong city. Alistair Johnston, a 27-year-old defender for Canada, posted that his travel plans after the 2026 FIFA World Cup “did not pan out,” alleging Frontier took him to an incorrect destination and that his bags never arrived. Johnston’s post on X drew attention and prompted a response from another passenger, Danny Pham, who described how the situation escalated a 2.5-hour segment into an eight-to-nine-hour journey with a “horrendous” 14-hour delay. Pham said Johnston was rebooked onto a connecting itinerary instead of the planned direct service and that the lost bag was located at the original departure airport. Johnston wrote that he was still not sure where his luggage was and said he was in the wrong city. Simple Flying reported it had contacted Frontier for further information.
