TSA sets the record straight on packing bizarre item after viral World Cup photo
TSA sets the record straight on packing bizarre items after a viral World Cup photo involving Erling Haaland and a taxidermy raccoon. The Norway striker was seen deboarding at Oslo’s Gardermoen Airport on Monday, carrying a taxidermy raccoon holding an empty liquor bottle. After the image circulated, the U.S. Transportation Security Administration posted that it had no rules against such items, but urged travelers to check with their airlines first. Haaland reportedly bought the raccoon at Wild Bill’s Western Store in Dallas, which confirmed the purchase through an Instagram story. The TSA also reiterated a separate, absolute ban on British Christmas crackers in both carry-on and checked luggage due to fire hazard. Cordless curling irons can be carried if packed in carry-on with a protective sleeve over the heating element.
