Griffin Global Asset Management Announces the Delivery of the First of Six Boeing 737 MAX 8 Aircraft on Long-Term Lease to VietJet Group
Griffin Global Asset Management announced the delivery of the first of six Boeing 737 MAX 8 aircraft on a long-term lease to VietJet Group. The announcement was made from Dublin on July 19, 2026. Griffin said it is welcoming VietJet as a new customer and will support the airline’s operations for years, positioning the MAX 8 as a “new-technology” aircraft for fleet modernization and continued expansion across VietJet’s markets. VietJet’s chief executive, Nguyen Thanh Son, said the delivery reflects the company’s commitment to operating a modern, fuel-efficient fleet and supporting regional and international connectivity. The lessor described Griffin as a commercial aircraft leasing and alternative asset management business with offices spanning Dublin, Tokyo, Singapore, Puerto Rico, and Los Angeles, among other locations.
