Prague Flyover JAS 39 Gripen Fighter Jets on July 22
Prague residents will get a rare chance to see JAS 39 Gripen fighter jets fly over the Czech capital on Wednesday, July 22. The aircraft are scheduled to participate in a ceremony at the National Memorial on Vítkov, with the flyover set for 11:30 a.m. Officials said the operation will be conducted as a training flight linked to the event. According to Prague 4 City Hall, the jets will approach from the east, passing over areas including Běchovice, Dolní Počernice and Žižkov. They will then turn south over Prague Castle before returning via Podolí, Nusle and Hostivař. After the city route, the aircraft will head back to their base in Pardubice, weather permitting. Similar military flyovers occur occasionally, such as a March 2024 NATO-related event.
