Paulie's Final Push Honors 9/11 Flight Crews, One Mile at a Time

Retired United Airlines flight attendant Paul “Paulie” Veneto is preparing for what he expects to be his final “Paulie’s Push,” a 28-day trek from Boston to Ground Zero honoring the crews of the four planes hijacked on Sept. 11, 2001. The 67-year-old, who is calling the last journey “Everyone’s Push,” plans to arrive in Manhattan on Sept. 11 after pushing a beverage cart for more than 1,000 cumulative miles since starting the mission in 2021. He previously honored United Flight 175 (2021), American Flight 77 (2022), United Flight 93 (2023), and American Flight 11 (2024).
