What to Know About the New Dolphins Edge Defender
The Miami Dolphins added edge defender Jamree Kromah off waivers from the Chicago Bears, releasing Robert Beal Jr. to make room on the 53-man roster. It’s the second waiver pickup in a week and the 16th in 2026, following earlier moves including guard Christian Haynes from Seattle. The Dolphins also claimed former Las Vegas Raiders defensive tackle Joshua Laulu, but he was awarded to the Tennessee Titans with the second-highest waiver priority behind the winless L.A. Chargers, who did not claim him. Kromah is a first-year player out of James Madison who has appeared in two games this season, debuting in Week 6 and recording his first two tackles in Chicago’s 30-24 win over New England in Week 7. He previously made a 53-man roster after three sacks in preseason and went undrafted in 2024 before joining Chicago’s practice squad.
