When you're given gifts, you take 'em': Trump defends using Qatari luxury jet as Air Force One | Fortune

President Donald Trump defended his acceptance of a luxury jet from Qatar that he uses as Air Force One, while continuing a Western campaign swing aimed at boosting Republicans ahead of Nov. 3 midterm elections. Speaking in Bullhead City, Arizona, he described the aircraft as a “gift” and said, “When you’re given gifts, you take ’em,” adding: “When they give you a 747, you say two words: ‘Thank you.’” The visit also included Alaska, where he announced Taiwan would buy gas from a proposed mega-gas project and pardoned two Alaskans over Clean Air Act violations, and Montana, where he announced a new military testing range sought by state Republicans. The trip coincided with gun-policy messaging in Montana.
