xCruzo Brief
Adani Airport Holdings Ltd (AAHL) is set to raise about USD 1 billion (Rs 9,825 crore) via a primary equity investment from a consortium including Alpha Wave Global, Temasek, Premji Invest and funds managed by BlackRock. The deal values AAHL at roughly USD 18 billion before the investment. Investors will subscribe to new equity shares in three tranches under binding agreements, with the final tranche expected by July 2027. After all tranches, the consortium will hold about 5.54% in AAHL. AAHL plans to use proceeds to expand and modernise airports, build airport-city ecosystems, and grow passenger-facing and non-aeronautical businesses. The platform aims to serve about 200 million passengers annually.
