Hunt:' We Need To Talk About James' Goes Into Production

Hunt: We Need To Talk About James Goes Into Production marks the start of production on a feature-length racing documentary centered on British Formula 1 driver James Hunt. Produced by Deep Fusion, the film examines Hunt’s “colorful” life; Hunt died in 1993 at age 43, and Deep Fusion first unveiled the project in April 2024. Damon Hill, a former F1 champion, and motorsport figure Bernie Ecclestone have been attached to contribute, with support from the Hunt estate. The documentary is scheduled to release in connection with the 50th anniversary of Hunt’s dramatic 1976 F1 championship win. Benjamin Field directs and produces, with John Gore as executive producer, Ewan Atkinson producing with the Hunt estate, and Jamie Anderson and Richard Wiseman as executive producer and archive producer, respectively. BAFTA-nominee Sam Gale is set to score the film.
