Report: Federal Investigation into Ilhan Omar Called 'World War 11,' a Reference to Her Viral Gaffe
A federal investigation into Rep. Ilhan Omar (D-MN) has reportedly been dubbed “World War 11,” referencing a viral gaffe from last year when she appeared to read “World War II” as “World War Eleven” at a Democrat event. The report surfaced Monday, but details remain unclear. Omar’s Washington, DC home was raided by agents from the Department of Homeland Security, suggesting an immigration-related inquiry. A DOJ official told Fox News Digital that Homeland Security Investigations executed a judicially authorized search warrant and said it is part of an ongoing federal investigation. The Washington Post says investigators use the “World War 11” label, tied to Omar’s January 2025 comparison of Trump’s immigration enforcement to the internment of Japanese Americans. Omar said she’s being targeted politically. The New York Times previously reported a DOJ probe into her finances.
