BREAKING: Montgomery man identified in fatal motorcycle accident in Delaware Township

A fatal motorcycle crash in Delaware Township led to the death of an adult male identified by local authorities, as reported by the Montour County Coroner’s Office and state police in Milton. The victim, Adam E. Erdly, 50, of Montgomery, was killed on Saturday at 1:23 p.m. on Route 405 in Delaware Township, Northumberland County. Erdly was riding a 2009 Harley-Davidson motorcycle north on Route 405 when a 2004 Mazda CX-30 entered the motorcycle’s lane from Route 44, police said. Investigators stated the Mazda, driven by Arman G. Shirazi, 47, of Nanticoke, proceeded through the intersection without clearance and caused Erdly to strike the rear passenger-side tire. Erdly was taken by Warrior Run Area Fire Department to Geisinger in Danville and died of injuries. Shirazi and his passenger had suspected minor injuries, and standard toxicology is ongoing.
