Honda's Hotter Civic Type R Is 'In Development' For The US

Honda has confirmed the Civic Type R HRC Concept is in development for the US, with its North American debut scheduled for the 2026 SEMA Show in Las Vegas from November 3 through 6. The automaker hasn’t released pricing, a specification sheet, or a build date, leaving US buyers with few details beyond what Honda has shown previously. Honda Racing Corporation USA is already displaying the hardware and says its HRC Performance Parts program for Honda and Acura models will reach dealers in March 2027. The concept, first shown at the Tokyo Auto Salon, is being developed with HRC technologies and input from Honda racing drivers for American roads.
