Luxury carmaker Jaguar unveils $130,500 electric vehicle in major brand reboot

Jaguar has unveiled its new all-electric Type 01, launching a major reboot of the brand about two years after a controversial rebrand triggered online backlash. The four-door “Grand Tourer” starts at roughly $130,500 in the U.S. and claims up to 450 miles of range, with a 0–62 mph sprint in 3.2 seconds. The automaker, owned by Tata Motors, says the Type 01 is its most technically advanced, most powerful and most aerodynamic Jaguar yet. Rival luxury brands including Ferrari and Bentley are also pushing EVs as they test whether affluent buyers will switch. Deliveries and additional details were not specified here.
