MotoGP champion back in title fight after taking back-to-back wins in Czechia
MotoGP champion back in title fight after taking back-to-back wins in Czechia: Marc Marquez rebounded with consecutive MotoGP victories for the first time this season at Brno, where he won Sunday’s Czech Grand Prix in hot conditions. Starting fifth on the grid, the Ducati rider moved through a three-rider fight and took the lead with six laps remaining of the 21-lap race, beating pole-sitter Ai Ogura by 0.421 seconds. Francesco Bagnaia finished 2.255 seconds behind, holding off Fabio Di Giannantonio by 0.169 seconds for third. Marquez’s win follows his Hungary victory and cuts the gap to championship leader Marco Bezzecchi, drawing to within 40 points. Bezzecchi missed Brno after a ban linked to an altercation with a marshal following Saturday’s sprint crash. Yamaha’s Jack Miller ended 16th after 16th-place grid.
