World Cup match days, NYC's 42nd Street will be for shuttles and buses only

World Cup match days will transform 42nd Street in Manhattan into a dedicated bus and shuttle corridor to speed fan travel to MetLife Stadium. The changes include nonstop express shuttles between Manhattan and the stadium via the Lincoln Tunnel, with pickups at Port Authority, Columbus Circle, and Grand Central. Dates include June 13, 16, 22, 25, 27, 30 and July 5 and 19.

On match days, a pair of new bus lanes will run along Sixth Avenue, and 42nd Street will become a bus-only corridor along its full length. Nearby street closures and limited subway changes are planned. NJ Transit, LIRR, Metro-North, and PATH will operate with adjustments.
