Robert L. Shaw, Jr., New Waterford, Ohio

Robert L. Shaw, Jr., 68, died peacefully on Wednesday, July 22, 2026, at Covington Skilled Nursing and Rehabilitation in East Palestine, Ohio. Born May 11, 1958, in Youngstown, he graduated from East Palestine High School and worked for Tubetech for 30 years, later working briefly for R+L Trucking before retiring. Known as a handyman, he enjoyed taking things apart to understand how they worked and putting them back together, whether repairing vehicles, building projects, or working on firearms. A longtime enthusiast of classic cars, he especially valued 1955 and 1957 Chevrolets and attended car shows when possible. He also enjoyed outdoor activities including hunting, camping, and fishing with family. Shaw is survived by children Lauren, Brandon, and James (Emily), granddaughter Parker, and canine companion Max, among others, following the passing of his wife Bonnie Dunn.
