Speeding Arnold Clark apprentice sacked after crashing Audi into six cars

An Arnold Clark vehicle technician apprentice, Hasan Azam, was sacked after a crash in Glasgow that damaged six cars, with no injuries reported. At Glasgow Sheriff Court on October 14, 2025, prosecutors said the 19-year-old was tasked with picking up an Audi A3 from a garage before driving it on Clydeholm Road, near the company’s Whiteinch workshop. Prosecutor Tammy Gibson told the court Azam drove at speed, misjudged a bend, mounted the pavement, struck and drove through a metal boulder, then crashed into a car park. The impact forced a Vauxhall Corsa across the lot, left its bonnet and engine “completely destroyed,” and also wedged the Audi between other vehicles. Other damaged cars included a Citroen Relay, a Hyundai i10, a Suzuki Vitara, and a Renault Kangoo. Azam pleaded guilty to careless driving after initially facing dangerous driving, was fined £625 with eight penalty points, and lost his two-year apprenticeship mid-course.
