What Pedro Acosta was missing in Aragon GP win fight with Marc Marquez

Pedro Acosta says he likely could not have matched Marc Marquez’s pace in the closing fight for victory at the Aragon Grand Prix because of tyre performance. At MotorLand Aragon, Acosta finished second, 1.7 seconds behind Marquez on the Ducati after starting sixth, moving to third early, and making a highlight pass on Marco Bezzecchi at the end of the back straight on lap 6. He then pressured Marquez until lap 13, when Marquez’s pace rose into the 1m46s bracket. Acosta, 22, admitted he pushed hard for a maiden win but feared exhausting tyres trying to stay with his 2027 teammate.
