Woman treated in hospital after hit-and-run collision

A woman in her 50s was treated in hospital after a hit-and-run collision in Londonderry, police said. Officers report that around 18:30 BST on Saturday, she was struck by a white Ford Transit van in the Queens Quay area. The van also collided with another vehicle nearby. Police added that her injuries are “not believed to be serious at this time.” Later, at about 22:10 BST, officers received a report that a van had been found burnt out in the Sheriff’s Road area of Derry. Police believe that vehicle “was involved in the earlier hit-and-run collision” and are appealing for dash-cam or mobile footage.
