How to make a name for yourself, Utah Mammoth style

Utah Mammoth players often stay under the league-wide radar, but the team used its Tuesday night 5-4 win over the Toronto Maple Leafs at the Delta Center to grab attention. Logan Cooley started the charge by intercepting a penalty-kill pass and beating Toronto’s Darren Raddysh, who took a holding penalty instead of getting fully outplayed. Daniil But then scored shortly after, walking Morgan Rielly and finishing clean for only his fifth NHL goal, after posting historic KHL numbers as a teenager. Cooley added a second highlight-reel play in the second period, receiving a drop pass from Vincent Trocheck and scoring off a backdoor tap-in. Coach André Tourigny emphasized all-around play, while Cooley was still searching for his first goal of the 2026-27 season.
