Hit TV series to return to the BBC this summer after 35 years. Bergerac, the Jersey-set police drama that ran 1981–1991, is getting a reboot on UKTV in 2025 with Damien Molony as DS Jim Bergerac. The new series features Zoë Wanamaker as Charlie Hungerford, Robert Gilbert as Barney Crozier, Chloé SweetLOVErov? (Chloé SweetLOVE? will be rendered as Chloé Sweetlove) as Kim Bergerac, and Pippa Haywood as Margaret Heaton. BBC Drama confirmed Series One will be available on BBC iPlayer and BBC Two this summer, with the first two series also streaming on U&Drama; a second series followed in April. The reboot has drawn mixed reactions, with IMDb placing the revival at 6.6/10 and fans noting a darker tone and new dynamics while still nodding to the original Jersey setting and familiar characters.
